On March 30, 2014, L2studio architecture became a certified Minority Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) with the New York State Department of Economic Development. We are pleased to offer our services while taking part in this program sponsored by the Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development (DMWBD) that promotes equality and economic opportunity.
Michael began his love for building and construction in high school, participating in a program through BOCES. After working for several architectural firms, Michael understood what it would take to accomplish his dream of running his own firm. In the fall of 2012, Michael launched his own architectural practice. He quickly recognized that in order to achieve growth and development, he had to extend his capabilities beyond his own. Michael partnered with Corey Layton on November 6, 2014, to establish L2studio architecture. Teaming up with a reliable colleague was a savvy business choice aimed at fostering expansion and progress.
As a founding partner of L2studio architecture and 30 years’ experience in the field, Corey’s career as an architect has led him on an eclectic path of project types ranging from higher education to healthcare to restaurant/bar, and everything inbetween. Regardless of scale, scope, finances, or function, he approaches each project with the same degree of eagerness, enthusiasm and professionalism.
As a graduate of Syracuse University’s Environmental and Interior Design program, Marcaesa began her career with L2studio architecture in 2018 as an Interior Designer. With an unyielding passion for design, a keen eye for detail and a commitment to creating spaces that speak to the soul, Marcaesa is a true visionary in the world of interior design. She has worked collaboratively with our architects to transform ordinary spaces into captivating works of art for our clients.
As Interior Designer at L2studio architecture, Therese’s goal is to design spaces that are safe, functional, and sophisticated while incorporating the latest industry knowledge. She finds inspiration through her daily life experiences, travels throughout Europe and the United States, fashion, and culture. Putting clients first is her top priority. She believes that design can have a direct impact on the wellbeing of all people.
