The purpose of Cornerstone Family Healthcare (CFH), a nonprofit organization, is to provide high-quality, comprehensive primary and preventative healthcare services in an environment of caring, respect, and dignity in a cost-effective manner that maximizes revenues; to be responsive to the needs of the communities that they serve but with continued emphasis on the underserved and those without access to care regardless of race, economic status, age, sex, sexual orientation, or disability.
CFH acquired an existing family medicine practice in Port Jervis, NY in 2019, and retained L2studio architecture to reimagine the existing 1950s former community hospital building into a new, modern family medical facility.
L2studio architecture has designed extensive interior renovations, along with two major building entrance additions, that transform the building exterior into architecture that celebrates and improves the aesthetics of the local community, while creating interior space that supports comprehensive medical care.
